In collaboration with our trainer, we once again organized a team-building workshop “PIT AHEAD 2.0” in July 2024.
This event took place on July 25 and 26 at Biereck Munde in Hofstetten with the aim of strengthening our team spirit and working out our goals for the coming years.

After a joint breakfast, we started with the first task: the appreciation mirror. In this activity, which was led by our facilitator, we formed small groups of four people to take part in an exercise on the topic of “appreciation”. The aim was to focus on the positive aspects of each colleague by identifying a strength, a skill and a specific competence of each group member.

We then developed a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis to identify our internal strengths and weaknesses as well as the external opportunities and threats that PIT faces or could face.

Based on the previous year’s discussions, we explored new perspectives enriched by the diversity of participants, some of whom were new to PIT AHEAD.

The “Tower of Power” was then a practical activity that brought to light key skills such as coordination, communication and collective leadership. We had to work together to build a wooden tower using ropes and a hoist.

After an initial failure, we decided to change the team leader giving the commands, which proved to be wise as we managed to erect the tower in the end. This experience showed us that it can be very important to decide who is best suited to lead depending on the situation and task.

The team-building event “PIT AHEAD 2.0” was an enriching experience for all of us. We also shared a convivial moment over dinner that extended through conversation and laughter until the sun went down. The event ended with a restful night at Hotel Munde, followed by a hearty breakfast the next morning.

The diverse activities and SWOT analysis not only strengthened our bonds, but also laid the foundation for stronger and more effective future collaboration!

We are already looking forward to next year. But now it’s time to process all the knowledge we have gained and implement it in a targeted manner.
