[ Company - History ]

PIT" means Production In Time and stands for quality-conscious just-in-time production.

The company was founded in 1990 by Mr. Jürgen Himmelsbach and Mr. Oswald Flaig in Stetten, in the district of Rottweil. In 2008, the insolvent company Lehmann GmbH in Gutach was purchased. This was followed by the construction of a new plant in Sulgen and the continuous expansion of machines and employees. At that time, production was still carried out together with five employees in an area of about 125 square meters.

In 2017, the company Production in Time got support with the entry of another managing director, Katrin Deniz Himmelsbach.

In order to make the work processes as efficient as possible, it was decided to relocate the site from Gutach to Sulgen in the same year. The proximity of the two plants means that processes can be handled more quickly and employees can be deployed flexibly and individually.

In the course of this, the decision was made to merge the two companies. The resulting synergy effects should strengthen the market positioning. PIT GmbH thus expanded by a total of 4000 square meters of production space and 50 employees.

After the planning phase started in August 2018, as well as the start of construction of the new production hall in August 2019, the move finally took place in February 2021.

In 2022, Mr. Selçuk Kurban was appointed as authorized signatory. PIT has always pursued a high-performance and sustainable growth motto: opening up new markets in order to build up further footholds, as well as supporting all existing customers, always with employee satisfaction in mind.
