[ Company - Company History ]

PIT" means Production In Time and stands for quality-conscious just-in-time production.

The company was founded in 1990 by Mr. Jürgen Himmelsbach and Mr. Oswald Flaig in Stetten, in the district of Rottweil. In 2008, the insolvent company Lehmann GmbH in Gutach was acquired. This was followed by the construction of the company’s own building in Sulgen and the continuous expansion of machinery and employees. At that time, production was still carried out together with five employees on an area of about 125 square meters.

In 2017, Production in Time received support with the arrival of another managing director, Katrin Deniz Himmelsbach.

In order to make the work processes as efficient as possible, it was decided to relocate the site from Gutach to Sulgen in the same year.
The proximity of the two plants thus allows processes to be handled more quickly and employees to be deployed flexibly and individually.

In the course of this, the decision was made to merge the two companies.
The resulting synergy effects are expected to strengthen the company’s market positioning. PIT GmbH thus expanded by a total of 4000 square meters of production space and 50 employees.

After the planning phase, which began in August 2018, and the start of construction of the new production hall in August 2019, the move finally took place in February 2021.
